Call for Papers

The ACA program is composed of thirty eight topics covering a plethora of crystallographic disciplines. Questions regarding the paper submission and review process can be directed to ACA Headquarters at any time.

 


Abstract Submission:

The online abstract system will not be close on June 19, 2019 however we will still be accepting abstractsPlease contact ACA HQ if you wish to submit an abstract and you will be contacted with instructions.  

 


Abstract Submission Fee

There is a non-refundable abstract submission fee for the 2019 ACA Annual Meeting of $25 USD.  Completing your payment is necessary to submit your abstract. Your payment may be submitted electronically using a credit card on a safe and secure site. The abstract submission fee is not refundable, even if the abstract is not accepted. The abstract submission fee does not register you for the conference.

 

Abstracts for invited presentations must be submitted in the same manner as those for contributed papers but are not subject to the abstract fee.  A coupon code, to be used at the abstract checkout, will be forwarded to invited speakers.  If you are an invited speaker and have not received the coupon code please contact your session chair and/or ACA Headquarters for assistance.  It is imperative that invited speakers add their abstract to the cart, then use the coupon code and finalize, otherwise the abstract will not be submitted to the system.

Session Chair Information

Please read the instructions on how to assign abstracts to your session, add introductions, breaks and finalize your session.  

 


Formatting:

The abstract should be submitted to OpenWater in PDF format.   The presenting author must be listed first. No one may be first author on more than one abstract unless the session specifically states that this rule does not apply.  The abstract should be in a readable font of a reasonable size. The abstract should contain the title, authors, affiliations, contact information and then the body of the abstract.

Mode of Presentation:

There are a number of different opportunities to present your work at the ACA Annual Meeting:

 

Session Presentation: Session chairs will review the submitted abstracts and assign same at their discretion. Presenting authors will be notified of their final abstract number, session name, date, time, and room assignment approximately 4 weeks prior to the meeting.

Poster Presentation: Poster chairs will review the submitted abstracts and assign same at their discretion. If selected for a poster session an author will need to have a poster prepared and be present at the assigned date/time during one of the three poster sessions.

Three Minute Thesis: Three Minute Thesis participants will be chosen at the discretion of the Three Minute Thesis session chairs. his session is fully populated by abstracts for posters at the meeting. Authors will present a 3-minute thesis talk, but will additionally present their poster during the regular poster schedule.

Notification

It is tentatively anticipated that notices will be sent to authors, via email, in early June 2019.  If you submitted an abstract and do not receive confirmation or an email scheduling your talk please contact ACA Headquarters prior to the meeting.
