Welcome to the 2019 ACA Annual Meeting!

It is a great honor to invite you to the 69th Annual Meeting of the American Crystallographic Association (ACA), to be held July 20-24, 2019 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. 
With a focus on convergent structural science, the ACA 69th Annual Meeting will launch with a full day of workshops followed by four days of sessions and different social events.  All of the workshops, sessions and poster sessions are dedicated to covering topics of importance to scientists with a wide range of professional backgrounds and designed to emphasize our need for collaboration and cooperation.
The meeting will provide multiple opportunities for networking: Opening Reception, Networking Mixer, Closing Awards Banquet, as well as vendor lunches and evening poster sessions.

Attending an Academic Conference

Attending a conference is a professionally rewarding experience. The ACA Annual Meeting offers our attendees many unique opportunities within the international crystallographic community.

Learn: Attend workshops and sessions that focus on today’s most relevant topics, procedures and equipment. Workshops and sessions are chaired and populated with professionals from all levels of academia and industry.  

Share: The deadline for abstract submissions to the ACA 2019 Annual Meeting is March 29, 2019. Authors of chosen abstracts have the opportunity to share their latest research with all levels of topic devoted scientists. Poster sessions offer an informal one-on-one opportunities for authors to share their research. 

Network: The ACA offers a number of formal and informal opportunities for you to mingle and interact with professors, students and industry professionals throughout. Many of the ACA’s social events are included in the registration fee.


Students & Young Professionals

Attending an academic conference can be financially overwhelming, but incredibly beneficial, especially to students. Students and young professionals make up an important component of the ACA and as such we offer a number of opportunities and resources to help you attend:

Room Rates: The ACA has negotiated lower room rates for students along with facilitating communication among those who would like to share a room.

Travel Grants: The ACA offers a limited number of travel grants to help students offset travel costs.

Volunteer Opportunities: The ACA offers a number of opportunities including working at the front desk and volunteering to monitor sessions.
